Hannah's Vegan Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients

  • 35g Shaved Seitan
  • 1/4 Green Pepper
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1 tsp Geo Watkins mushroom ketchup
  • 50ml Almond milk
  • 5g Nutritional yeast
  • 15g Cheddar style cheese
  • Pinch Turmeric
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Hot Dog Roll

Method

  1. Sautée onion and Green Pepper in a frying pan until soft, around 15 minutes
  2. Add the shaved Seitan until a warmed through, about 3-4 minutes
  3. Add in the Geo Watkins and black pepper, cook out for 3-4 minutes
  4. Heat the Almond Milk, Nutritional Yeast and grated cheddar style cheese in a saucepan
  5. Simmer gently for a couple of minutes and then allow to cook and thicken slightly
  6. Slice the hot dog roll down the middle and add some of your cheese sauce to each side
  7. Fill with the Seitan mix
  8. Drizzle with the remaining cheese sauce
  9. Enjoy!
